1.1 Feasibility survey of selected schools
The feasibility study for 4 schools were conducted at the following schools:
Chavachcheri DSD:
- J/Nuffield School for deaf and blind, Kaithady
- J/Varani Central Collage,Karampikuruchchi
- J / Kachchi G T M School , Kodigaman GN
- J/Navatkuli Maha Vidayalaya, Navatkuli GN
Changani DSD:
- J/Vadu Thirunavukarasu Vidyayalayam
- J/ Thiravadinilai Sivar Tamil Mix school, Chulipuram
1.2 Awareness on rainwater harvesting to parents and teachers of the schools
1.3 Construct 30,000 litre ferrocement rainwater harvesting systems
Rain water harvesting system consisting of 30,000 litre Ferrocement tank, 2 sets of gutters, first flush system , filter and 3 taps was constructed.
1.4 Training on operation and maintenance of rainwater harvesting system
