The prints on Water
Water is a powerful natural resource which gives lives to thousands of humans, flora, and fauna. Rivers, streams, falls and brooks add aesthetic beauty to our surroundings . Marking the world water day 2021 the young people from Monaragala got an opportunity to spend a day close to nature while learning the importance and uses of the water resources. The event took place at the beautiful Kirindi oya of Athiliwewa Monaragala on the 21st March 2021. Participants inspired by the natural beauty of the surroundings spend time writing poems, drawing arts and crafts. During the open discussion which followed they talked about water conservation, water pollution and what they can do to protect the water and make an impact on conserving nature. Also the participants engaged in cleaning up the riverbank. We are glad to host an amazing environment-oriented day with the young people who are our future and future of our planet
