World Water Day
2010 celebrated |

Lanka Rain Water
Harvesting Forum celebrated the World Water Day
on 22nd March with a function held at the
Auditorium of Central Engineering Consultancy
Bureau, Colombo. The theme of the event was
'Water for the Cities'. The chief guest of the function
was Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, Minister for Urban
Development and Sacred Area Development.
Delivering the welcome speech, Mrs
Shanti Fernando, Chairperson,
LRWHF, emphasized the need to celebrate
the World Water Day and the use of
Rain Water harvesting as a solution
for the present water crisis. |
